Ms. Liberty and I had a conversation and we decided we would give her more of a try. Hopefully I wll have this thing finished before the end of August. I noticed that I had some puckering going on and well...I have a bumpy blanket because I have a death grip on the needles and yarn that I am carrying behind it. It's an interesting learning process. I have learned that I should absolutely read the pattern all the way through BEFORE I start knitting. Anywhoo...I'm plodding right along and I'm on row 10 of the 3rd repeat. I'm at the half way point of the knitting portion of the blanket! I wasnt going to line the back of it - but I kept thinking about some nefarious nutcase accidently unravelling on of the floats on the back and all kinds of chaos would ensue because I would have to maim them for obvious reasons. Kidding....maybe
There is a fine line between hobby and obession....and I have not learned what it is yet...

Ms. Liberty is back!
So I was feeling good after I fixed my mistake....until I realized that I hadnt put my stitch markers back in. Well you know what...I don't need them!!! I freed myself from stitch markers! Oh yeah I 'm really feeling myself right about now. I'm glad that I ventured out and tried something that looked really intimidating and turned out to be easy. Y'all should give it a try.

Starteritis is upon me again
It seems that I have contracted a little bit of starteritis again. I have more projects going right now than I care to admit. Let's see - the black and white Liberty blanket. Then there is the mitered blanket I haven't finished. Let's not forget the pink cabled blanket I'm about half way through. Hmmmm...and now I have what ChickenusWingus is describing as a Candy Corn Baby blanket. I laughed when I saw the resemblance - I don't think I'll be adding the white stripe he suggested though. I starting this one because the Liberty blanket was no longer portable. It now needs it own back pack and well just takes up too much room on the train. I mean who wants to look like a bag lady while commuting? Besides, I made a big mistake in it and had to pull it apart. I was just so distraught to watch all of that hard work unraveled!!!!! I made a mistake in one of the lines of the chart and it was just to obvious to leave it. More obvious than the first mistake. I may pull the whole thing apart and start over. The pattern deserves to not have any mistakes in it. So Ms. Liberty is sitting on the sidelines with something else until I can wrap my mind around pulling her apart. *Insert Big Sigh* Such is the life of a knitter. Until then I will be working on my Candy Corn Big Bad Baby Blanket.
Twisted Sisters....
I started the entrelac scarf with the Twisted Sisters yarn I bought last weekend. I'm not loving it right now - maybe as the scarf gets longer it will bring me some joy. Right now it's just something to do to pass the time. I however, would not feel bad if I found another pattern and tinked this one. Anyone have any suggestions for another pattern? I would even be willing to try a simple lace pattern for this yarn. It really is pretty.

Twisted Sister Yarn
I picked up some of the coolest looking yarn the other day with the intentione of making an entrelac scarf. I'm on the second tier and I don't like it right now so I think this may end up being a clapotis scarf.

Urban's Fault
It's all Urbans fault. Here I was being all monogamous to my Liberty afghan and she distracted me with these Chinese Waves dishcloths. The first time I tried these I didn't like the pattern, but now they are just plain east and great for tv knitting or sitting in a noisy room or with a friend knitting. Are we allowed to blame others for our knitting ADD? I hope she knows I'm kidding

One Repeat
Yahoo!!! I made it through the first repeat of this blanket. I am still liking this enough to actually continue it. Since it is not a boring pattern - it makes for an interesting knitting. I really like this and actually want to finish this. I think i will back this with a polka dotted cotton backing. I have no desire for anyone to pull any of the strings asking what is this and pulling the strings the wrong way and messing up the blanket. I can't say that the reaction would be good - but definitely involuntary. What are y'all knitting? I know that I am not the only one who happens to be knitting right now.

Fourty Rows Deep!
I'm fourty rows deep and then I discover the glitch in the pattern. Ok It's really knitters error. Guess what? I like the glitch and the glitch will stay! LOL Happy Mother's Day to all of my fellow Mama's, Mama's Mama's and Mama's Mama's Mamas!
