I couldn't help it! I started the blanket last night when I caught a bit of insomnia. It's called the Knitted Garter Stitch Blanket in Sheeps Down by Elizabeth Zimmerman - but can be seen here more recently knit by BrooklynTweed. What can I say - the bubble gum pink cables had me bored. I will get back to it - but just the sheer joy of knitting without counting almost sent me over the edge. I will get back to the pink cables this weekend - but I needed a small break. Here is the first section that I did last night. I'm using cotton ease in Lime doubled to make this blanket. I'm a fan of it's squooshiness and ease of use for parents.

looking good,. My sis is trying to make a baby blanket and for some reason she doesnt like garter stitch, but Knit is the only stitch that she can do well. She has frogged it way to many times for me. I don't think she is getting the hang of it yet. I am trying to be patient with her.
